The lecture explores the way in which the phenomenology of medicine and naturopathic medicine ( relatively new fields in the philosophy of science and in medicine ), with their inclusive or holistic approach, challenge traditional medicine and science by emphasizing the concept of the “lived body,” which exists and operates in a context that is mental, emotional and social as well as physical.
